Happy New Year

Let's Do This 2022

Who's excited for 2022? I know it's an arbitrary day but I'm a list-maker and love any excuse to reflect and define goals. Last year was a big one for my art practice, but I have some fun projects and ideas lined up for the next few months...

First of all, I am so excited to announce that I have been selected as one of ShoreLake Arts Gallery rotating artists for the 2022 season! Expect more info soon (including an opening reception), but in the meantime, plan on visiting the gallery in Lake Forest Park between April 6 and May 14.

I am working on putting together a new collection (visit my shop to see what is still available from the last one) and have been playing around with more ink and plein air watercolor sketching... you've probably seen some of this if you follow me on social media :) I am also slowly building up my technique (and confidence) enough to get back into mural work. It's been a couple decades but I'm fixated on trying out my designs in a much larger format... stay tuned!

And one last exciting update, I have been honored to help support Black Arts Futures Fund since I started selling my art but I have decided to refocus on our local art community. So starting now, 10% of all sales will be donated to Urban ArtWorks, a fantastic non-profit organization based in Seattle that works "to engage youth and communities in the creation of public art that inspires connections and honors their voices."

Alright, let's get this year started!
